- At her nine month doctor appointment Whitney was 22 lbs 3 oz, 29.5 inches (90-95 percentile for both). Her head was also in the 90th percentile.
- Working on more and more finger foods such as veggies, beans, cheese, deli meat, waffles, banana, toast, cottage cheese, yogurt bites, puffs, Cheerios. Now that mom has stopped cutting up the food into tiny pieces she can actually pick them up! Drinks water and juice from a sippy cup - mainly likes to chew on it, especially when teething, but she is getting the hang of it! Has 4-5 bottles a day of formula.
- Her favorite food is definitely Cheerios
- Leans over the side of her highchair to share and say hello to Hubert
- Favors using her left hand
- Enjoys playing with other kids - but we realized lately that we need to watch her to make sure she is playing nice and being gentle
- Loves her doll and taking her hat off and on
- Has a tendency to be quite sensitive. She isn't nearly as overwhelmed at daycare as she was in the beginning and it has been going really well lately - just Miss Sensitive at times.
- Getting closer and closer to crawling each day. She rolls all over and can scoot when sitting, but can't quite figure out how to get both legs untucked to get into the crawling position. Very content to sit and play. Loves to stand on our legs or stand and hold on to the tub or couch - she gets such a proud look on her face!
- Her favorite babble is "dada"
- She has always been great to take anywhere - so much fun to have her sit in highchairs at restaurants and in the cart at stores.
- Full of smiles - especially when taking a ride on dad's shoulders. Giggles when tickled under her arms, mom makes a fish face or sings "All Around the Mulberry Bush"
- Has two bottom teeth and we are waiting for the top FOUR to surface!
- Soothes herself with humming/moaning herself to sleep. No interest in any fingers, no pacifier
- Crosses her feet when she sits
- Figured out how to splash with her hands in the tub, not just her feet. Loves bathtime and her favorite bath toy is the washcloth
- Dislikes getting dressed, especially putting on her pajamas
- Wears her hair in a ponytail nearly every day - her hair continues to get lighter and curlier
- Sleeps from 7:30pm - 6:30am. Usually takes great naps, especially at daycare
- We love her to pieces!
